Economic Development is a vital area of focus in the neighborhood and is another of our foundational pillars. Growing the local economy and taking steps to ensure that growth is sustainable is necessary to make Millville a desirable place for people to live, work, and play.

 

Future plans for continued economic development include revitalization of the downtown through the leveraging of public and private investment. Business incubation will continue at the Creative Enterprise Center and elsewhere to attract new business to the area. We also plan to build a strong workforce population through education, creating apprenticeship opportunities, and by improving workers skills and increasing the number of jobs paying higher wages.
