In February of 2018, HCDC received a Neighborhood Planning Grant from the Wells Fargo Regional Foundation. HCDC enlisted Interface Studios LLC to serve as the planning consultant and over the course of 10 months HCDC conducted the following outreach: 2 public outreach events, 17 stakeholder interviews, 156 collaborative map comments, 82 on-street interviews, 188 neighborhood surveys, 70+ youth engaged. The result of the planning is a 10-year comprehensive plan for neighborhood improvement focused on community residents, housing, economic development and physical improvement projects.
